Humanism and Antisemitism

Today, “humanism” usually denotes a secular ethical outlook that stresses human dignity, reason, tolerance, individual rights, and scientific inquiry.  In mid-19th-century Germany, however, the term repeatedly referred to something far more radical: a philosophical movement derived from Ludwig Feuerbach that many contemporaries regarded as a bridge to socialism and communism.  That original meaning has largely vanished from present-day usage.

An intellectual genealogy runs from Hegel through Feuerbach to socialism.  Hegel had already replaced traditional Christianity with a philosophical system centered on Reason.  Feuerbach went farther, declaring that God was simply a projection of human qualities.  As he summarized his own development: “God was my first thought, Reason my second, Man my third and last.”  Human beings, not God, came to be the center of philosophy, and Feuerbach’s circle concluded that every sociopolitical institution should be “humanized.”

Friedrich Engels observed in 1845 that virtually all German communists were Feuerbach’s followers, while most Feuerbachians turned communists.  Thus, humanism grew principally from German idealism, and socialism crystallized from humanism.  In that perplexing climate, the term did not signify individual liberty in the current sense; it meant subordinating individual interests to humanity conceived collectively.  Humanism was understood as the vehicle for dissolving the individual into the community and converting private property into collective property.

Feuerbachians considered religion, monarchy, and private property as forms of alienation: Human beings projected their powers onto external authorities and then found themselves dominated by them.  From the outset, this humanism was an openly anti-Christian current.

Leading German socialists such as Karl Marx and Wilhelm Marr framed the conflict as one between Christendom and Marxistdom.  To be fair, their formative arguments were equally hostile to every religion, including Judaism.  In the nineteenth century, humanism therefore functioned as both a smokescreen and a trampoline for socialist revolution.  Progressivism played a parallel role, focusing more on demands for progressive taxation than on human progress.  Feuerbachians held a quasi-transhumanist faith that humanity could become God; godlessness was merely the first step toward a worldwide proletarian revolution, supplemented by additional political techniques aimed at their collectivist goal.

Wilhelm Marr was a classic Feuerbachian radical.  He reportedly carried Feuerbach’s opus The Essence of Christianity everywhere and founded a secret society dedicated to spreading “humanist” ideas.  At one point he competed with Marx for leadership of the German left and lost.  The two men shared a common ideology and a personal antagonism; the chief difference was that Marx remained a theoretician, whereas Marr was a practical revolutionary.

Marr insisted that revolutionaries should avoid detailed positive programs, which frequently breed internal disagreement, and should instead unite around pure opposition to the status quo.  His treatise on secret societies in Switzerland captures the nihilistic, negationist phase of this humanism: “The masses can only be gathered under the flag of negation. … We make war against all prevailing ideas, of religion, of the State, of country, of patriotism.  The idea of God is the keystone of a perverted civilization.  It must be destroyed.  The true root of liberty, of equality, of culture, is Atheism.”

That was an extraordinarily radical stance.  Marr’s humanism was not mere secularism; it was an anti-establishment, revolutionary doctrine directed at the destruction of existing society.

John Rae’s 1884 book, Contemporary Socialism, confirms the point: Humanism envisioned the radical Feuerbachian maxim that God is dissolved into Man, monarchy into democracy, private property into collective possession, and the isolated individual into “social man.”  Rae states unequivocally that “humanist and communist became nearly convertible terms” and that “socialism was the humanism of common life.”

Marr emerged directly from this atmosphere.  Before becoming famous as the man who introduced the pre-existing term “antisemitism” into the political lexicon, he was a Feuerbachian humanist, atheist, and revolutionary agitator who preached negation and hostility.

Steeped in that milieu and carrying Feuerbach’s book, he absorbed a worldview of radical negation and human-centered materialism.  His later antisemitism can be read as a distorted continuation or inversion of those same ideas: “Jewishness” was identified with the egoistic, particularist, and alienating forces that Feuerbachian humanism sought to overcome through community, atheism, and social transformation.  In this reading, true humanism required purging the “Jewish” element that supposedly perpetuated older theological or capitalist alienations under new guises.

Marr was not alone.  Many early socialists and radicals — Fourier, Proudhon, numerous Young Hegelians, and substantial strands within leftism — expressed economic, racial, or cultural anti-Jewish prejudices.  They saw Jews as emblems of finance capital, middleman roles, or cosmopolitanism that obstructed national or proletarian solidarity.  Later anti-capitalist and antisemitic activists regularly employed a comparable scholastic structure, portraying finance, money, or “Jewish influence” as alien powers dominating authentic humanity.

When the negation of Jews acquires an explicit political background, it becomes antisemitism: Jews are cast as the obstacle against which non-Jews can bond and form a coherent left-wing political force.  Marr did not “rediscover” antisemitism in his 1879 pamphlet plainly because leftists disliked Jews; he reincarnated it as a means of securing voting blocs, forging alliances, and gaining power.  In short, Marr was one of the earlier “community organizers.”  His contemporaries would have also recognized Adolf Hitler as a fellow practitioner of the same cynical technique — consolidating support among non-Jews by alienating Jews — rather than as a mere primitive Jew-hater.  For certain currents on the left, Jews are expendable in the pursuit of unrestricted power and an unreachable utopia.

Modern humanism, secular or otherwise, claims to have shed these radical left associations.  Both humanism and antisemitism have deep socialist roots, but decades of left-wing polishing have buried those origins.  Marxist currents helped preserve and radicalize the word “humanism,” but modern humanism made up modern precisely by concealing much of its collectivist and revolutionary content.  The coinage of “humanitarianism” further obscured any resemblance to the nineteenth-century term.  Present-day humanitarians remain strikingly selective: Global attention has often focused substantially more intently on “Palestinian needs” while remaining predominantly indifferent to Israeli ones.

In conclusion, the connection between nineteenth-century humanism and antisemitism is both historical and moderately doctrinal.  Humanism did not explicitly list antisemitism among its foundational principles.  Rather, almost all influential European antisemites were formed within the radical humanist coalition and proceeded with its conceptual habits, revolutionary methods, and political techniques into a later, deliberately murkier context.  The journey from Feuerbachian universalism to Marr’s antisemitism remains one of the most paradoxical intellectual trajectories of nineteenth-century Europe.

History’s greatest disguise may not have been the invention of a new ideology, but the survival of an old one under a new and increasingly sanitized name.

From Lenin to Marcuse to Anti-Zionism

Lenin and Marcuse created a framework in which the modern dialogue about Jews and Israel—particularly on the Left—became highly asymmetrical, moralizing, and often exclusionary.

In early 1907, Vladimir Lenin published accusations that some Menshevik organizations were “selling seats in the Second Duma to the Cadets” (Constitutional Democrats). In other words, he accused the Mensheviks of colluding with a liberal bourgeois party rather than letting workers’ candidates run. The Mensheviks filed a formal complaint, prompting Lenin to face slander charges before a Party Court (Control Commission). The trial took place just before the opening of the Fifth (London) Congress of the Russian Communists (Russian Social-Democratic Workers’ Party, RSDWP), and Lenin delivered a lengthy oral defense.

In his defense speech, Lenin clearly delineated the boundaries of permissible and non-permissible behavior during the communists’ political debates. He maintained that polemics inside a party must remain within certain bounds—personal insults, “poisoned weapons,” and exaggerations are undesirable because they harm party unity.

However, for polemics against a political enemy (or former party members who break away from the party), these limits no longer apply. There are no formal “party rules” constraining communists in such discussions. Lenin says, “Such wording is calculated not to convince, but to break up the ranks of the opponent, not to correct the mistake of the opponent, but to destroy him, to wipe his organization off the face of the earth” (Lenin [1907] 1977, p. 425).

In other words, while debating a communist’s political enemy, rather than a member of our own party, communists do not seek to uncover the truth. Lenin proposed that communists must conduct polemics that are not designed to affect or convince their opponents. That is simply because the ultimate fate of the opposition is utterly indifferent to communists. Instead, the communists strive to destroy the opposition. Truth be told, the communists’ polemics are not aimed at their opponents but at a larger audience. Lenin advocates for “destroying the enemy organization, by rousing among the masses hatred, aversion, and contempt for this organization” (Ibid., p. 428). Thus, communists are expected to provoke disgust in the audience towards their opponents, potentially even before the public fully understands the communists’ arguments.

Finally, Lenin discussed the hypothetical case of the Bund (Jewish non-Zionist socialists of the Russian Empire) seceding from the RSDWP. He states, “Could anyone then seriously raise the question of the impermissibility of pamphlets calculated to instill in the Bundist working masses hatred, aversion and contempt for their leaders, and describing these leaders as bourgeois in disguise, as those who had sold themselves to the Jewish bourgeoisie and were trying to get their men into the Duma with the latter’s assistance, etc.?” (Ibid., p. 429). The conclusion is that Jews (or any other Party subset) must be treated with the utmost respect if they follow the Party line. However, once they are out, all bets are off.

This line of thought is the logical continuation of the Left’s worldview, adapted for “civilized” political debate. In fact, Lenin proposed the principle of asymmetric tolerance and asymmetric civility: tolerance (and debate norms) only applied within a defined “community of the correct line.” Outside of this defined community, polemics become a tool for political annihilation rather than physical destruction. In ten years, however, when the Bolsheviks came to power in Russia, intolerance also entered the physical domain. Basically, Lenin’s instrumental view prioritizes revolutionary efficacy over universal decorum.

There are notable conceptual parallels (rooted in the broader Marxist-Leninist tradition) between Vladimir Lenin’s approach and Herbert Marcuse’s essay, “Repressive Tolerance” (1965). Both thinkers advocate for the selective application of liberal and democratic principles to advance revolutionary goals. Both justify intolerance or harsh rhetoric toward perceived enemies of “liberation.” This shared logic reflects a commitment to vanguardism, where an enlightened minority guides (or suppresses) the masses against “reactionary” forces.

Marcuse was explicit that such actions might involve suppressing speech that sustains “reactionary” power structures, creating space for “progressive” change. Marcuse insisted on the “withdrawal of tolerance before the deed, at the stage of communication in word, print, and picture. Such extreme suspension of the right of free speech and free assembly is indeed justified only if the whole of society is in extreme danger. I maintain that our society is in such an emergency situation, and that it has become the normal state of affairs” (Marcuse 1965, pp. 109-110).

There are several key features of the Lenin-Marcuse approach that led directly to the “cancel culture,” Jewish persecution, and double standards applied uniquely to Israel. First, the selective application of norms for “Us vs. Them.” Second, vanguard elitism. Thirdly, they provide a rationale for suppressing opposition. These features stem from a common Marxist heritage, but Marcuse—a critical theorist from the Frankfurt School—adapts them to the post-World War II West.

As a result, Lenin and Marcuse created a framework in which the modern dialogue about Jews and Israel—particularly on the Left—became highly asymmetrical, moralizing, and often exclusionary.

When the Soviet Union turned against Zionism after 1948 (especially after 1967), this Leninist model shaped the entire discourse. Zionism was redefined as a hostile ideology, equated with racism, imperialism, and colonialism, and therefore outside the bounds of permissible debate. Soviet media, academia, and propaganda were mobilized not to argue with Zionists but to discredit and delegitimize Zionism entirely—an “exterminative polemic” in Lenin’s sense.

That shaped the official language: Zionism was portrayed as an “aggressive racist ideology,” not a legitimate nationalistic movement of Jews. Jewish voices who dissented inside the Soviet Union were treated not as dialogue partners but as traitors or agents of imperialism. In other words, Lenin’s asymmetric rule for polemics provided the intellectual permission structure for non-dialogue, for campaigns aimed at destroying the very legitimacy of the opposing view. That is why, to this day, the Left demonizes Zionists and humanizes anti-Zionists. The International Left makes sure that every Israeli victory is a defeat.

Israel is increasingly classified as an oppressor—a “settler-colonial state,” and an “apartheid regime.” Therefore, speech defending Israel is treated as harmful, reactionary, and illegitimate—not simply wrong but dangerous. The result: deplatforming campaigns, boycott movements (BDS: Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions), and a rhetorical climate in which Zionist perspectives are considered as outside the boundaries of acceptable discourse. It comes off as a modern echo of Marcuse’s call for “intolerance toward movements from the Right.” It is classic Marcusean logic: tolerance is conditional on emancipatory potential, not on neutral procedural fairness.

Together, Lenin’s polemical ruthlessness and Marcuse’s selective tolerance create a potent framework for anti-Jewish and anti-Israel rhetoric. If the former supplies the aggressive language (e.g., “Zionist genocide” as an unquestionable truth), the latter justifies silencing counterarguments as “repressive.” This hybrid profoundly shaped Leftist movements from the 1970s onward, evident in Europe’s radical Left (where anti-Zionism spills into anti-Semitism) and U.S. campuses, where BDS campaigns invoke Marcusean intolerance to delegitimize Israel.

In today’s polarized debates—post-October 7, 2023—these ideas underpin calls to “no-platform” Zionists, blending revolutionary zeal with cultural gatekeeping, often at the expense of a nuanced dialogue on Jewish self-determination. This Lenin-Marcuse approach entrenches itself into Leftist echo chambers, where Lenin’s “extermination” of dissent meets Marcuse’s “liberating” suppression.

What Do Messrs. Marx, Sanders, And Blanter Have In Common?

Karl Marx is the founding father of Marxism. Bernie Sanders is a Senator from Vermont. Matvey Blanter authored the famous Russian song “Katyusha.”

They are all Jews. They are all anti-Semites. All of them are followers of leftist ideology.

The anti-Semite Marx isn’t our contemporary, but his anti-Semitic (and racist) views are well-documented.

One among the leaders of American-Jewish anti-Semites, Senator Bernie Sanders, spent his summer holidays at a Stalinist kibbutz in Israel and celebrated his honeymoon in the USSR. Bernie Sanders, almost word for word, repeats the claims of Hamas about Israel, so it seems that he is the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hamas to the United States.

In May 2021, Senator Sanders and his supporters managed to stab Israel in the back twice. At first, the overwhelming majority of Democrats voted against the announcement of sanctions against Hamas, and a couple of days later – against providing additional military assistance to Israel. Voting on these bills took place when thousands of rockets were flying from Gaza to Israel. Note also that all Republicans, without exception, supported both bills.

From a military point of view, the Iron Dome system is a strictly defensive weapon. It can’t be used to attack. Its sole purpose is to save the lives of civilians. However, every Democrat within the House voted against additional funding for the Iron Dome in Israel. The rationalization of this seemingly incomprehensible solution is straightforward. Democrats give money to Iran. Iran gives money to Hamas to “purify the Holy Land from the contamination.” Hamas attacks Israel. Helping Israel will reduce the effectiveness of Iranian investment by the American Left.

Finally, let’s advance on to the last name on our list.

Matvey Blanter became laureate of the Stalin Prize for the songs “Stalin – Our Fighting Glory” and “Stalin, Flight of Our Youth.” He was a member of the Anti-Zionist Committee of the Soviet Public. The committee was created by the Soviet KGB in 1983. It theoretically ceased to exist officially with the collapse of the USSR. What is interesting is that this committee had not been formally disbanded.

In addition to Blanter, other prominent Soviet Jews were also members of the Anti-Zionist Committee of the Soviet Public: Elina Bystritskaya, an actress who performed the role of the primary Russian beauty; Tatyana Lioznova, creator of the foremost famous Soviet spy thriller “17 Moments of Spring”; and Adolf Shayevich, former Chief Rabbi of the Soviet Union. What did Comrade Shayevich mean when he proclaimed the traditional Zionist Easter toast “Next year – in Jerusalem”? Was he referring to the Soviet tanks at the Jaffa Gate?

It was at the time, when Natan Sharansky was in solitary confinement, that the KGB managed to gather under one roof two dozen talented Soviet anti-Semitic Jews. Additionally, the Soviet communists injected the old anti-Semitic term with brand new, ideological content, behind which the Left became convenient to hide – the anti-Zionism. We, they say, are only against the policies of the State of Israel, but we are not anti-Semites. This “ideologically correct” term has become so common on the Left that it is still widely used today. It has been metastasized and adopted by most Leftists, many of whom are very talented American Jews.

These talented American Jews came up with – after the model and likeness of the Democrat Party – the notion that there is supposedly a political wing of Hamas and an independent military wing of the organization. Analogous to this are the military wings of the Democrat Party – Antifa and BLM. However, if there is some kind of separation between political and military wings, it’s only for the purpose of a smokescreen.

The Left has also redefined the meaning of the conflict in the Middle East. After the Six-Day War, the conflict was redefined by Soviet apparatchiks as “imperialist colonization.” Who was chosen as “colonizers” and “oppressors”? Palestinian Jews. Who was chosen as the “defenseless indigenous population”? Palestinian Arabs.

That is why we hear the same rhetoric from both the American Left and Hamas: it turns out that the Jews are “occupiers” and the war with Israel is “resistance to the capitalist colonialists.” The Soviet Communists have achieved impressive and long-lasting success in altering the religious and territorial conflict in the Middle East onto an ideological track. The Soviet Union is long gone, but the ubiquitous train of “fighters for the independence of Palestine” continues to travel. That is why Hamas, Fatah, and Iran all use familiar Soviet propaganda clichés.

Politically, the Palestinian Arabs have long been abandoned by their Arab neighbors. If not for the ideological and military support by the Soviet communists years ago, this conflict would have sunk into oblivion. However, the baton of support for the “liberation movement of Palestine” from the Soviet communists was taken over by the American Leftists.

The Middle East conflict is really a series of successive conflicts. At first, it had been only a religious conflict, which grew into a territorial one with Israel’s revival. In turn, the territorial conflict, due to the Sisyphean labor of Soviet communists, was transformed into an ideological conflict through the injection of Marxist rhetoric.

(By the way, this is precisely the error that the Israeli leadership made when it withdrew from South Lebanon in 2000 and Gaza in 2005. The worldview of Israel’s then-leaders was formed during the conflict’s previous – territorial – phase. They did not notice – or did not want to notice – that the conflict had already morphed into a different, ideological phase. As a result, Israel’s territorial concessions have not led to anything positive.)

President Trump tried to finish off the ideological phase of the conflict in the Middle East and put it on a rational economic track. Trump made an offer that could not be refused in exchange for ending the multi-billion dollar financing of terrorism franchise wars, Arab countries would receive multi-billion dollar American investments. The benefit is twofold. The Arab countries generally agreed because the Palestinian problem, purely economically, is very disadvantageous to them.

Trump tried to end what began long before him but had touched a raw nerve. The termination of the ideological phase of the conflict turned out to be unprofitable for the American Left, and the Biden administration returned the conflict to square one. In fact, Joe Biden uses taxpayer dollars to assist Palestinian Arabs in buying Iranian missiles to attack Israel. In addition, Biden appointed an Islamic activist to “cleanse” the US military of “extremism.” Without a doubt, Iran, Russia, and Hamas still cannot believe their luck with the current occupant of the White House. As a result, in 2021, Jews are welcomed in the United Arab Emirates and other Arab countries, but not in America.

Anti-Semitism has been around for several thousand years, although this term has officially existed only since 1879. The overwhelming majority of more or less reasonable people perfectly understood that this nefarious phenomenon is irrational. There is not and cannot be a rational explanation for it. However, the Left decided to take the next step, and in America, under the leadership of the Floydenized Democrats, the process of normalizing anti-Semitism has begun. If before, in a decent society, anti-Semitism was a taboo, now the taboo has been lifted. The new American norm will not be the complete absence of anti-Semitism but the establishment of some level of anti-Semitism acceptable in a decent society.

Normalizing what was previously considered impossible or unacceptable is the hallmark of the Left. At the beginning of the 21st century, leftists normalized the attribution of the red color (the color of enemies) for conservatives and republicans. Previously, this color was associated only with the Left. In the twentieth century, the term “Palestinians” was normalized and redefined by the Left. The term “Palestinian” had meant Jews exclusively, but since 1967, at the suggestion of the KGB, they began to call “Palestinians” exclusively Arabs. Symptoms of this normalization of anti-Semitism were the simultaneous and well-coordinated attacks on Jews in Israel, New York, and California.

A ceasefire has now been declared in Israel. However, there is never a ceasefire in the struggle between Good and Evil, even a temporary one. Especially when Good and Evil are on opposite sides of ideological barricades.

Where to get the Vaccine Against Left-wing Anti-Semitism?

President Trump was expelled from Twitter and Facebook.  However, the head of Hamas, the head of the Palestinian Terrorist Authority, and the president of Iran were not denied use.  They still publicly express their hatred of both America and Israel.  Why?  Because if freedom of speech exists in Biden’s America, it is mainly for anti-American and anti-Semitic forces.

Twitter bosses have a clear understanding of what kind of tweet Trump would have posted when, during a missile strike on Israel, the BLM thugs staged a White House rally in support of Hamas using swastika flags.  Facebook bosses have a pretty good idea of what Trump would say about the thousands of rockets fired at Israel.  Without exception, Washington-based journalists can accurately predict that Trump would never have sent an American Hamas-supporter to negotiate between Israel and Hamas.

Are Jews currently being persecuted by Roman centurions?  Are the Spanish inquisitors trying to exterminate the Jews?  Are trains packed with Jews currently moving to Treblinka?

No, none of this is happening.  On the contrary, the friendly-to-us American conservatives, the German conservatives, immediately after the start of the missile attack on Israel, removed the German flag from party headquarters and instead hung the flag of Israel.  Right after the attack on Tel Aviv, all of Rome got covered with Israeli flags.  An enormous Israeli flag flies over Kyiv with the help of a cargo drone.  The world is in solidarity with Israel as never before.  Nevertheless, the persecution of the Jews is evident.

Let’s define what is currently driving the persecution of Jews.  What is the ideological dimension of this persecution?  Who are the performers?  Who, perhaps without realizing it, is an assistant in this matter?

Who in America is the unwitting accomplice of those who wants to destroy both Israel and all Jews?  American Jews of the left are such shortsighted collaborators.  Being traditionally Democrats, they did not notice (or did not want to notice) that since the late 1950s and 1960s, the Democrat party has shifted radically to the left.  By Obama’s time, it had become an openly socialist, openly anti-American, and openly anti-Semitic party.

Who is the executor of the current Jewish pogroms?  Each country has its own mayhem heroes.  In America, these are Antifa and BLM.  In the Middle East, these are the Palestine Liberation Organization (created by the Soviet KGB and still led by a Kremlin agent), Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and Iran.  In Europe, they are the Laborites who turned London into Londonistan.  Most of them are religious or ideological fanatics, brainwashed so profoundly that they cannot be treated by any means.

What is the ideology of those who control this whole process?  Who runs its brain center, and does such a center exist at all?  The answer to that disquieting question, perhaps, lies on the surface.  Those who yesterday promoted the classic socialist slogan of disbanding the police or defunding the police are today mourning the deaths of Hamas commanders.  The same people offer a panegyric to goons.  It’s the same people everywhere — in America, in Israel, and in Europe.  They differ in their skin color, religion, nationality, educational level, and sexual orientation.

However, they are united because they are all leftists, the adherents of post-Marxism ideology.

In different countries, they try to hide under different signs.  They can call themselves Socialists, Laborites, Democrats, Social Democrats, Democratic Socialists — this incomplete list of “progressive humanity” is long, as is the list of nuances over which non-ideological (read: insignificant) disagreements exist among them.  They are the ideological heirs of the previous generation of the left — Marxists, Bolsheviks, Mensheviks, Stalinists, National Socialists, Trotskyists, Communists, Maoists.  This list is also very long.

The first Middle East movement to unite socialism and Islam was the Muslim Brotherhood, founded in 1928 in Egypt (the so-called “socialist theocracy”).  This union was a manifestation of the unique ideological parallels between the 7th-century pseudo-religion (Islam) and the 19th-century pseudo-religion (socialism).  The unification of Islam and socialism was precisely the mixture that the Soviet leaders loved so much; such a mixture became the ideal breeding ground for international left-wing terrorism (under the pretext of the “national liberation movement” and the “struggle against the Israeli occupation of Arab lands”).

Socialists and the Muslim Brotherhood are also united by methods of achieving their goals.  Modern socialists prefer peaceful, legislative, gradual changes to achieve their main goal: the redistribution of wealth.  They avoid bloody revolutions; their favorite course of action is slow, almost invisible evolution.  In non-Muslim societies, except for periodic acts of terrorism, gradualism is precisely the Muslim Brotherhood mode of operation.  This is one reason why the socialist movements have joined forces with their ideological counterparts from the Muslim Brotherhood, which also prefers evolutionary social changes.

“Muslim socialism” is similar to orthodox socialism; both call for “just redistribution of wealth” and other classic leftist ideas of class struggle.  In countries with a non-Muslim majority, such as the United States, Muslims are falsely referred to as the “oppressed proletariat,” and the Jewish and Christian majority is falsely referred to as the “oppressive bourgeoisie.”

The incredible, unthinkable alliance between previously irreconcilable religious fanatics and socialist atheists is one of the most phenomenal events in human history.

Yasser Arafat, the Palestine Liberation Organization leader, was probably the first leader to officially embrace Islamic-socialist ideas.  In 1967, immediately after the Six-Day War, he was rewarded for this with a brand-new invention by the KGB, known as the Arab Palestinian Nation.  (Until 1967, only Jews were called Palestinians.)

Hamas calls itself the Islamic Resistance Movement.  Its Charter states: “The Islamic Resistance Movement is one of the branches of the Muslim Brotherhood in Palestine.”  In addition, the Hamas Charter requires (in a somewhat heretical form for traditional Islam) that in the fight against Israel, “a woman should go out and fight the enemy even without the permission of her husband, and a slave even without the permission of his master.”

In traditional Soviet style, the Hamas Charter condemns “occupying imperialism” and “the forces of the capitalist West.”  Soviet communists have long been out of power in Russia, but friendly relations between the Kremlin and Hamas are flourishing.  The Chinese Communist Party also defends the interests of Hamas, as does the rest of the left.

All this looks inscrutable on the surface, although it has an entirely rational basis in most cases.  At the same time, the baffling attitude of left-wing Jews toward Israel belongs to an entirely different, irrational category.  For example, how can left-wing American Jews wish for the death of their fellow believers in Israel?  However, everything becomes evident if you carefully dot the i.

The right-wing American Jews, like all American conservatives, want Israel’s prosperity and peace with its neighbors.

The left-wing American Jews, who, together with the Democrat party, continue to evolve toward more and more radical left positions, cannot forgive Israeli Jews (and Netanyahu personally) for an ideological turn toward conservatism.  Therefore, they joined forces with comradely radical leftist movements, Islamic terrorist groups, and other genocidal maniacs (all of them — in Stalin’s terminology — are “socially close”) to punish Israel.  Punish with missile attacks, terrorism, Iranian bomb, boycotts, and UNESCO resolutions to turn Israel into a rogue state.

Using a cocktail of post-Marxism and Islamism, the flirting-with-communism American left is trying to force Israel to leap back into the vile left quagmire.  Furthermore, as everybody knows, for all leftists, including the Party of (D)eceit, the end justifies the means.

Therefore, now more than ever, the world needs a vaccine against left-wing anti-Semitism.
